To begin making a photostory you import pictures and then you can add titles on each picture. You can then add music and voice recordings if you would like. You can also change the slide transitions to be fun and exciting. One way, a teacher could use this tool is to introduce daily topics that would be covering that day. A teacher could also use this tool as a way to present phonics in a fun way similiar to the voicethreads we did. Teachers can also do vocabulary lessons through photostory by including pictures of what the word is and have the correct pronunciation of the words. A way the students could use this by creating their own personal story of their life and having to use narrations and a song which tells about their life. This will help students be creative and will be a fun way for the students to share it with other students. After a field trip, I would have the students make a story of what they saw and what they learned from the trip. The students would have to include different adjectives which described this trip and would be turned into a writing assignment. In the photostory I created, on journaling days I would present the topic and give the students a couple different ideas on what they could write about with that particular topic. Photostory will make the students start thinking about different topics and get them in the writing mood. There are so many options with using photostory, so you will have to check it out.
